Etymology

Clipping of sisha.

Pronunciation

IPA(key): /siʃ/

Rhymes: -iʃ

Orthographic Form

sish

Adverb

sish

  1. from then on, from that moment, from that moment on (followed by a full clause)

Creation and Usage Notes

This is an irregular shortening of the ablative of ishi "moment". In the ablative form of the noun, the original genitive stem is retained. Thus, the ablative of ishi "moment" is sisha, not sish.
